The Washington Men’s Basketball Team has qualified for the state basketball tournament that will be played next week in Des Moines. The Warriors could potentially play three games on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Below you will find important details that should answer your questions for the basketball activities next week.

Early Dismissal for the entire school - Wednesday, March 10, 2010
No lunch will be served
First Hour 7:15 – 7:55am
Second Hour 8:00 – 8:28am
Third Hour 8:33 – 9:01am
Fourth Hour 9:06 – 9:34am
Fifth Hour 9:39 – 10:07am
Sixth Hour 10:12 – 10:42am
Seventh Hour 10:47 – 11:15am
No Eighth Hour

Games:
Quarter final round: Wednesday, March 10, 2010
CR Washington vs Ames at 1:45pm in the Wells Fargo Arena

Semi final round: Friday, March 12, 2010 (if we win Wednesday)
CR Washington vs winner of CR Jefferson/SC East at 1:30pm

Final round: Saturday, March 13, 2010 (if we win Wednesday)
Championship game: 8:05pm (if we win on Friday)
Consolation game: 1:45pm (if we lose on Friday)

Tickets:
All tickets are $8.00 for any state tournament game Tickets may be purchased in the Activities Office:
Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th from 7:30am to 4:00pm
Wednesday, March 10th from 7:30am to 10:00am

If we win Wednesday, semi-final tickets will be on sale in the Activities Office: Thursday, March 11th from 7:30am to 4:00pm
Friday, March 12th from 7:30am to 10:00am
No Saturday tickets will be sold at Washington. They must be purchased at the
Wells Fargo Arena

Pep Buses:
Two pep buses have been reserved for Wednesday’s game. We have a special deal for Washington students, a game ticket and bus ride to the game will cost $20.00.
The Washington Athletic Club is helping subsidize the cost of the pep buses. Students should sign up in the Activities Office to ride the bus. Money must be paid by Tuesday, March 9th by 4:00pm.

The pep buses will depart at 11:05am and return at approximately 5:30pm on Wednesday. There will be no stops for food so bring snacks. We encourage students to go to the games and support the Warriors.

T-Shirts:
Commemorative state tournament t-shirts will be available for sale in the Washington foyer starting Monday. The price for a t-shirt is $10.00 and they will be sold by the Washington Athletic Club.

Make-up dates for the five weather-related school cancellations so far this school year will be as follows:

• The weather-related cancellation on Tuesday, Dec. 8, will be made up on Thursday, March 4
• The weather-related cancellation on Wednesday, Dec. 9, will be made up on Monday, June 7.
• The weather-related cancellation on Thursday, Dec. 10, will be made up on Tuesday, June 8.
• The weather-related cancellation on Wednesday, Jan. 20, will be made up on Wednesday, June 9.
• The weather-related cancellation on Tuesday, Feb. 9, will be made up on Thursday, June 10.

All the dates were established as make-up dates on the 2009-10 calendar. The final day of classes for students (whatever date that ends up being) will be an early dismissal day.
