Attention Senior Parents of 2011

It is that time of year again, time to set up senior pictures. When setting up your appointments please make sure to leave enough time to allow the pictures to be returned to you by December 17, 2011. This is the due date for the 2010-2011 Senior pictures, quotes, and baby ads.
Pictures should be in color, a head and shoulders shot, and in a portrait layout (up and down). We prefer you use an indoor pose, and it cannot include props (animals, sports equipment, band instruments, etc).
Photos can be delivered by mail or email to Mrs. Schmelzer; they can be photographs (wallet size) or a jpeg image.
Please in include a quote with your picture. It must be school appropriate, and if it is not original please include the source of the quote. The maximum length is 90 characters long (including spaces). Quotes that do not meet these requirements may be subject to modification or will not be included.
Not having your picture professionally taken?
We are again offering an opportunity for those who may not normally be able to afford senior pictures. Mrs. Schmelzer or a student photographer will take a picture to place in the yearbook for free.
A CD of at least 2 of these head shots can be purchased for the extremely low price of $5. This CD will give you the opportunity to print your own senior pictures to distribute to family and friends. Several companies will develop these digital pictures for a reasonable price.
Baby Ads
Baby ads that are traditional placed in the back of the book will be due to the staff at the same time a senior picture, December 17th. |

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you've got great photos of school and community events or you and your friends just having fun, we'd like to see them. Our photographers can't be everywhere. Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have.
Here is how you can submit photos online:
• Go to: https://images.jostens.com/login
• If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter username:400030704 and password:monument
• Browse to select the photo(s) you wish to upload.
• Enter information about the photo and provide contact information in case the staff needs additional information.
• Click "Save Details".
It's that easy! Submit your photos today! The last day to submit photos is 5/15/2011.

TODAY is an “A” Day.
FRIDAY IS TAILGATE DAY AT WASHINGTON
This Friday, September 10, there will be two tailgate activities going on at Washington after school.
First, at the end of the school day, KGYM – ESPN 1600 Tailgate Tour will be in the courtyard with fun activities. In the past they have had t-shirts, food and prizes. Stop out after class to enjoy the afternoon.
Following the Tailgate Tour, the Washington FCA will have their weekly tailgate going in the south parking lot. Come and enjoy the fun and food beginning at 3:00.
Audition information for The Revolutionists, WHS’s top jazz band, is available in the Band room. Please see Mr. Shanley for details.

Tickets are due in the Activities Office on Thursday, September 9th.
Purchase a $25.00 raffle ticket and you could win up to $300.00 per week during the 17 week long 2010 NFL regular season.
Plus, you decide which Warrior sports team will receive a portion of the money from each ticket sold.

WARRIOR SPIRIT STORE

The WHS spirit store will be opened every Thursday from 1:15- 3:15 PM and by appointment. We are located across from the cafeteria. Warrior spirit wear will also be sold at every home football game.

NFL Benchwarmers Fundraiser

An exciting new fundraiser is about to begin at Washington High School!
The NFL Benchwarmer Raffle tickets are on sale now and with your support and participation, $25,000 will be raised to support Warrior athletic programs.
• Raffle tickets cost just $25.00 each and are good throughout the 2010 seventeen week NFL regular season.
• Tickets have three random NFL team combinations each week.
• Purchasers are NOT allowed to choose their team combinations.
• The point totals of the 3 teams are combined each week of play and $600 is paid out weekly:
• $300=highest 3 team total
• $125=2nd place
• $75=3rd place
• $50=4th place
• $25=5th place
• $25=lowest three team total
• Results will be posted weekly on the WAC website and winners will be contacted and paid weekly by the athletic club.
• $3.00 out of each ticket will go directly to the sport team designated by the buyer—the rest will go to the general Warrior Athletic Club fund that supports all athletic programs at Washington.
• The top 3 ticket sellers will be awarded valuable Best Buy gift cards!
Our goal is that each student athlete family can sell a minimum
of 4 NFL Benchwarmer Raffle tickets.
